Giggijoch has paid parking at the cable-car base. Choose this entry when your ski-school meeting point or beginner session is at Giggijoch; the beginner area is described above. The Gaislachkogl garage charging option below is a separate location.

About Sölden

Sölden links Giggijoch, Gaislachkogl and its glacier sector into one ski area. Lifts and pistes connect the three sectors, so you can explore different parts of the mountain during your stay.

Beginners and families have downhill runs, while freeriders have deep-snow slopes.

Beginners & families

Giggijoch has wide, gently sloping runs for beginners, returning skiers and families with small children. Its beginner ticket covers a limited selection of lifts; it does not include the rest of the ski area.

More to explore on skis

For a day exploring the glacier sector, Rettenbach and Tiefenbach offer pistes of different difficulty levels. Highlights include the Ski World Cup slope and the ski tunnel linking the two glaciers.

Food & drink

For a mountain meal, ice Q sits on Gaislachkogl at 3,048 m. The restaurant serves gourmet dishes, tapas and wine with views over the Ötztal mountains.
